This past month MMAjunkie and The MMA Road Show headed to Miami…

And we churned out some great interview vids. We also did a couple gym spotlights… Here is the American Top Team spotlight…

Tryouts for The Ultimate Fighter 22 underway

The grappling session is about to start. Can’t show mitt work and I’ll publish numbers later today. Looks to be a few hundred or so prospects here at the Palace Station. 155 and 170 weight classes taking part

We did it… The inaugural podcast of The MMA Road Show with John Morgan is in the books

It’s done… It’s in the books… It’s been talked about for a while but we finally sat down during our trip to Miami this week to knock out an episode… The next episode will have the new logo image in the video.

Here is the link:

All my geeky prayers have been answered… lol

“X-Files Revival… David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson Back for 6 New Episodes

I absolutely adored this show and me and a buddy would always get together to watch it religiously (am I right, Shelley?) I can’t wait for it’s revival. Granted the new episodes could be shite and i’ll prolly still like it, but honestly the key players are back so I don’t see why they won’t be great.

Instagram is awesome…

I find myself using this more and more… A picture really is worth a thousand words.

Aarrgh, computer glitches are the worst…

My WordPress blog had a catastrophic failure last night and I thought I lost it all. Took me all day to get it restored to at least the version it was just before the new year.  Granted I have been terrible at updating this thing but it had at least more recent content then what is showing. So if I re-post some stuff that you think you maybe say recently well I apologize in advance.

Lesson learned: backup everything that you have an option to back up, if you use WordPress or host your own site. That’s databases, site files, etc… That way you can at least get it close to what it was without having to reinvent the wheel…  Well i aim to get this all back up and running and I will again make an effort to update this site with my doings and what-nots… Now my main website… That is definitely needing an update….

Have a fun and safe New Year’s celebration everyone – Vegas Info on Street closings and checkpoints

Hey all I hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve celebration and I hope tomorrow start’s out the year wonderfully for you all. I know I have my first meal all planned out for tomorrow with some pork and sauerkraut and potatoes. I know it sounds old fashioned but I love using my crockpot to whip these items up and it is so yummy. I’ll post some pics tomorrow. I personally will probably take it easy and chill tonight as I have to be up early working on a video that is due tomorrow so I will probably have some beverages at the house tonight and dial up some movies to boot. And it is cold as heck in Vegas right now! I just want to go home and bundle up and hibernate, but unfortunately I have to work this week so I can’t burrow my head under the covers and wait out the cold! 🙂

For those of you going out in Vegas tonight here is the info I received from sources close to Metro.

“There are no checkpoints planned tonight but my friends at LVMPD have told me there will be what are called “saturation patrols” going on throughout the night.  They are deploying a number of unmarked cars, trucks etc. and will be looking for anyone who is driving impaired.

Street closures are the following:

  •       5 pm freeway ramps will be closed along I15
  •       5:45 pm – roads leading to strip closed.
  •       6:15 clearing vehicles off strip
  •       6:30 – Strip will be closed
  •       3 am on 1/1 strip will be re-opened (tentative)”

This below is from LVMPD –

“Director Carla Alston Sgt. John Sheahan Officer Laura Meltzer Officer Jose Hernandez Officer Larry Hadfield Officer Jesse Roybal

4:00 p.m. – The Fremont Street Experience will be closed to the public. 6:00 p.m. – The Fremont Street Experience gates open for entertainment.

NOTE: Throughout the evening, east-west travel on Sahara Avenue, Mandalay Bay Road, Desert Inn Road, Frank Sinatra Drive, Koval Lane, Russell Road, US95 and I-215 will remain unrestricted.

Harmon Avenue/Bridge will be limited to vehicle traffic from the West leading to City Center by hotels guests only. Vehicle traffic on Harmon Avenue, East of Las Vegas Boulevard, will be limited to hotel properties. ”

Whatever you decide to do, please be safe and have a great time and I look forward to all the great things we will all accomplish ion 2015! Make your resolutions last!

What’s everyone doing for New Year’s?

I’ll be here in #Vegas doing #UFC182 fight stuff during the day but might be able to sneak away in the evening for a few hours for some fun.

What great things are you getting into?

Are you taking it easy and easing in the New Year with friends and/or loved ones?

I’d love to hear what everyone is doing and if you happen be in or near Vegas I’d love some suggestions for some fun things to get into New Year’s Eve night.

P.S. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas or Holiday season so far. I know I had a great time with my family and hope to do it again soon.

Want to know what the cool kids are doing on a Saturday night?

They are watching a little NFL football while also watching the #UFC fights on #ufcfightpass 😉 Yup shameless self promotion… Now if I could get #pbr to sponsor me I could drink and watch fights in style all the time
