Hey all I hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve celebration and I hope tomorrow start’s out the year wonderfully for you all. I know I have my first meal all planned out for tomorrow with some pork and sauerkraut and potatoes. I know it sounds old fashioned but I love using my crockpot to whip these items up and it is so yummy. I’ll post some pics tomorrow. I personally will probably take it easy and chill tonight as I have to be up early working on a video that is due tomorrow so I will probably have some beverages at the house tonight and dial up some movies to boot. And it is cold as heck in Vegas right now! I just want to go home and bundle up and hibernate, but unfortunately I have to work this week so I can’t burrow my head under the covers and wait out the cold! 🙂
For those of you going out in Vegas tonight here is the info I received from sources close to Metro.
“There are no checkpoints planned tonight but my friends at LVMPD have told me there will be what are called “saturation patrols” going on throughout the night. They are deploying a number of unmarked cars, trucks etc. and will be looking for anyone who is driving impaired.
Street closures are the following:
- 5 pm freeway ramps will be closed along I15
- 5:45 pm – roads leading to strip closed.
- 6:15 clearing vehicles off strip
- 6:30 – Strip will be closed
- 3 am on 1/1 strip will be re-opened (tentative)”
